Chris Benjamin – Chris is an author, editor, and freelance writer specializing in environment, social justice, and arts & culture.
He’s also a fiction writer and past Managing Editor of Atlantic Books Today. He is currently the Senior Energy Coordinator at the Ecology Action Centre, and helps facilitate energy efficiency programming, connects clients to retrofitting programs and funding, and shares information about best efficiency practices.
His published books include Chasing Paradise, Boy with a Problem, Indian School Road, and Eco-Innovators.
John Hillis – John has been a film and digital content creator since 1999, with an award-winning track record of crafting issues-based content into absorbing narratives.
He has an MA in Screenwriting along with Producer and Director credits, including series television, television commercials, live-streamed events, feature length documentaries, and hundreds of corporate videos. An experienced creative and technical filmmaker able to effectively communicate with crew in order to deliver high quality compelling content.
John is co-founder of Truefaux Films, which develops and produces social impact media content, successfully promoting community engagement on a local, provincial and national scope. The goal of Truefaux is to stimulate discussion and open up avenues of thought that continue long after each projects’ conclusion.
Sean Kelly – Sean brings 30 years of experience in program development and management, strategic planning, inclusive leadership, communications, and adult education.
Currently a strategic consultant, he has worked for organizations including Clean Nova Scotia Foundation (first as Manager of Communications and then as Director of Clean Energy Programs), Cuso International, the Lester Pearson Institute for International Development, and the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia.
He was editor of The Sustainable Times, a magazine on environment and international development issues sold at 350 newsstands across Canada. Sean has produced radio documentaries that have been heard on the CBC, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and National Public Radio in the U.S. He won a National Magazine Award in Canada and a Gabriel Award for Documentary in the U.S.
Debbie Roza-Mercier – Debbie has decades of experience in communications, marketing, and fund development, having worked on two continents and in many not-for-profit sectors.
She currently works as a Waste Educator for Valley Waste Resource Management, producing educational materials and managing the group’s social media and website content. She also works with the business sector, community groups, and schools to educate and promote waste reduction and diversion opportunities.
Debbie was previously the Senior Communications Specialist for the Clean Nova Scotia Foundation, where she was involved in a wide range of communications products and services: from writing and video production to social media strategy.
Pam Sullivan – Pam is a communications specialist with an extensive background in journalism, communications, editing, and project management.
Her strong organizational and editorial skills, combined with years of experience working as editor-in-chief for both magazines and community newspapers, has also served her well in other areas, including web and print journalism, writing, proofreading, strategic communications, and project management.
She currently works as an independent consultant, with a wide range of clients: from business and government to tourism agencies, development banks, chambers of commerce, and more.
